Reaching The Unreached
Our efforts have resulted in empowered individuals and stronger communities, through six programs in Jacksonville and across Latin America.
Reaching The Unreached runs six programs that meet children and families where they are, in Jacksonville and across Latin America. Each one is carried out with trusted local partners, so the impact lasts long after a mission trip ends.
Program 01
Every child deserves a Christmas morning. Navidad Sin Barreras began as the personal mission of community advocate Katherine Muñoz, who grew up in one of the most dangerous areas of Colombia and remembers what it felt like to go without. Her program has delivered 1,100 Christmas gifts on its own, and 2026 is the first year Reaching The Unreached is working alongside her. Reaching The Unreached has separately delivered more than 1,100 Christmas gifts to children in remote communities who would otherwise have nothing to open.
Each season we raise funds, buy and wrap gifts, and deliver them alongside local partners: in Medellín with Fundación Abrazando Historias and Fundación Solo Vida, and in Santo Domingo with help from local law enforcement. More than 1,100 children also received toys and dental hygiene kits.

Program 02
Education opens doors that stay open. Through our virtual English classes, students in Latin America connect with teachers and build the language skills that open the way to better schools, scholarships and jobs. Our classes abroad are virtual by design, which keeps the program sustainable and lets students keep learning between our visits.
We also provide learning resources and, in 2025, created a safe space where children can do their work and attend classes out of the elements. In January 2027 we are bringing English lessons to Jacksonville, in person, for families of all ages and every level, even if you have never studied English before.

Program 03
Knowing your culture and your rights builds confidence. We help young people take pride in their culture and understand the laws and rights that protect them.
Starting mid-January 2027 in Jacksonville, our free Culture and Law adjustment classes help families who are new to the U.S. understand how schools, healthcare and the workplace work. Adults and parents can also join free safety classes led by a law enforcement expert on human trafficking prevention, social media safety for children, online exploitation and scams.

Program 04
Knowledge keeps children safe. Traffickers prey on poverty, isolation and a lack of information. That is why we teach awareness classes in both Jacksonville and Medellín. In Medellín, we hold monthly virtual classes with Fundación Abrazando Historias for children, adolescents and families.
Participants learn how trafficking and exploitation happen, the warning signs to watch for online and in person, and where to turn for help, so every family can protect its most vulnerable members. Starting in mid-January 2027, adults and parents in Jacksonville can join classes led by a law enforcement expert on trafficking prevention, keeping children safe on social media, online exploitation and scams.

Program 05
A team, a song or a stage can change how a child sees their future. We sponsor soccer scholarships, new gear and transportation so young athletes can stay on the field, and we fund music school scholarships, creative activities and movie nights that give children safe places to play and grow.
Registration is now open for our CH4 Soccer Academy program in Jacksonville, for players ages 5 to 17. Every Jacksonville season also helps fund the soccer scholarships, gear and transportation that keep children playing abroad, so local families who join are supporting kids in Latin America too. Want to give monthly? A $200 monthly sponsorship covers the cost of a child playing here in Jacksonville and a child playing in Colombia, for double the impact.

Program 06
Lasting change is led from within. We work hand in hand with local leaders and residents to understand what their community needs most, then help deliver it, from groceries and holiday food packages to support after a crisis.
Since our first mission trips we have distributed more than 40,000 pounds of food, and when a natural disaster struck, we shipped clothing to the families who lost the most.
